The mill house is situated on the edge of the river lay, which offers plenty of fishing opportunities for bream, roach, carp, pike, perch and catfish etc. and there are also fishing lakes nearby.
We have an old watermill and delightful Mill House with swimming pool set in large grounds with 2 small islands in the river offering a very pleasant and private area for relaxing beside the river, but only a couple of minutes walk to the village centre or 30 minutes drive to the Atlantic beaches.
You will stay in our family home where we have comfortable double, twin or family rooms. All rooms have a shower, toilet and wash basin en suite.
For our full 'Run of the Mill' holiday, a full continental breakfast and picnic lunch are included in the price. There is a lounge with TV, dvd and video, wifi access, a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge, sink and washing machine, also DIY barbecue facilities for the use of our guests at all times. ("Home from Home" without the chores of preparing breakfast and lunch).
The cost of the holiday includes free use of the "Toy Box" consisting of sailing dinghies, sailboards, and catamarans for sailing on the nearby lakes, river boats with electric outboard and kayaks for use on the river, bikes, fishing rods, swimming pool, badminton, and volley ball. As we have a maximum of 10 guests at any time there is no shortage of equipment.
Our extensive grounds are a haven for a huge selection of wild birds - an ornithologists paradise. From the garden itself you can see Kestrels, Kingfishers, Marsh and Hen Harriers, Herons, Golden Oreals, Linnets, Hoopoes and Great Spotted Woodpeckers to list just a few.
We are on the edge of open fields and woodland so there are plenty of local walks to enjoy, yet only a few minutes walk from the town centre. If you are an artist, there are plenty of lovely views for your brush to capture close by and in the surrounding area
The surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunity for walking, cycling, picnics or sampling wine at the many local vineyards

Come sailing with us either using our dinghies - Lazer, Mirror, Topper, 505, Catamarans - our sailboards, or if offshore cruising appeals, we can take you out on our yacht. There are no set programs. You choose what you want to do and when you want to do it. The Atlantic coast of the Vendee offers some of the cleanest sandiest beaches in Europe, so if all that you really want to do is lie in the sunshine on a beach, it is only a short drive away.
